What kind of keywords does the scanner recognize?
A built-in dictionary of common multi-word technical and business skills (like SQL Server, REST API, or Project Management), plus whatever specific terms it extracts from a job description you paste in.
Does it break apart multi-word skills like 'Project Management'?
No — known multi-word and special-character phrases (C#, .NET, CI/CD, Project Management, and similar) are matched as complete units, never split into unrelated single words.
Can I scan without a job description?
Yes. Without one, the scanner checks your resume against a general dictionary of common ATS keywords instead of a role-specific list.
Does keyword frequency matter?
The scanner reports whether a keyword is present or missing, which is what most ATS keyword matching relies on. Repeating a keyword excessively won't meaningfully improve your score and can look unnatural to a human reviewer.
