Your CV is processed entirely in your browser

ATS CV Checker does not use a backend server to process your resume. When you upload a PDF or DOCX file, it is read directly in your browser using the File and ArrayBuffer APIs, and its text is extracted locally using PDF.js (for PDFs) or Mammoth.js (for DOCX files). Your file is never uploaded to, or stored on, any server we operate.

What we don't collect

We do not log or transmit:

  • The content of your CV
  • Email addresses or phone numbers found in your CV
  • Your name
  • Any job description you paste in
  • The keywords, sections, or recommendations generated by the analysis

Temporary in-browser storage

Your analysis result is held only in your browser's memory for the current session so it can be displayed on the results page. It is not written to your device's persistent storage, and it is cleared automatically when you refresh the page, close the tab, or navigate away.

Analytics

We may track anonymous, aggregate interface events (for example, that a file was selected, or that an analysis completed or failed) to understand how the tool is used. These events never include your file name, CV text, job-description text, extracted keywords, or contact information — only the fact that the event occurred.

Third parties

We do not send your CV text to any external API, analytics tool, error-tracking service, or advertising platform. Any advertising shown on this site is served in fixed, reserved containers and is not informed by the content of your resume.

Advertising and cookies

This site may display advertisements served by Google AdSense and other third-party advertising partners. Google and its partners may use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other websites, and to measure ad performance. This is entirely separate from — and never informed by — the content of any resume or job description you paste into the checker, which is never transmitted anywhere.

You can learn more about how Google uses data when you use partner sites at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Third-party vendors, including Google, may also use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits, and users in the EEA/UK can manage consent preferences where a consent banner is shown.
